Welcome to the Pointe of Grace Yoga Studio!

We offer Trauma-Informed Yoga classes in a variety of Yoga traditions, as well as meditation, breathing practices, and other resources to suit your personal needs, goals, and preferences.

Modifications are provided in every Yoga class so that you can adapt the movement to suit your needs while mindfully developing your functional strength, flexibility, and balance as you cultivate mind-body-soul connection, resiliency, and wellbeing.

Class Descriptions:

Adaptive Hatha focuses on the fundamentals of a full body, mat-based practice including centering breathwork, meditation, and common Yoga poses can adapted and modified to suit your needs as you begin or advance in your Yoga practice. Postures are traditionally held 3- 5 breaths. This class is a great place to start if you are newer to Yoga, wanting to add a foundational practice to your week, or looking for a adaptive way to process and release chronic stress and trauma.

Adaptive Yin Yoga is a meditative, mat-based Yoga practice that incorporates common Yoga poses with breathwork and stillness that promotes agency, relaxation, healing, and resilience. This practice is perfect for all levels. Yin facilitates stress and trauma recovery while improving the health and function of the connective tissues and fascia, and countering the impacts of acute stress and trauma to restore a sense of inner calm and mindful presence. Yoga postures that are held for 2-5 minutes.

Gentle Hatha
is a slow-paced, mat-based practice that incorporates breathwork, meditation, and fundamental Yoga poses can adapted and modified to suit your needs. This class is a great place to start if you are brand new to Yoga, recoverying from an injury, or looking for a gentle way to process and release chronic stress and trauma.

Progressive Hatha
is an All-Level, full-body, mat-based practice that incorporates breathwork, meditation, and includes intermediate to advanced level Yoga poses including arm balances, binds, and inversions to challenge your strength, improve your balance, and cultivate your flexibility. Poses in this class are traditionally held for 3-5 breaths, keeping the class pace measured with a variety of modifications offered for more challenging postures so that you can progress in your practice at a pace that is right for you. This class is a perfect for seasoned Yogi's as well as those are ready to take the next step in their journey as we cultivate mindfulness, strength, and resilience on and off the mat.

Progressive Vinyasa Yoga
is a full-body, flow-based mat practice that incorporates breathwork, meditation, and includes intermediate to advanced level Yoga poses including arm balances, binds, and inversions to challenge your strength, improve your balance, and cultivate your flexibility. Modifications are provided for more challenging postures so that you can progress at a pace that is right for you. This class will elevate your heart rate, challenge your strength, improve your balance, and cultivate your flexibility, which makes it perfect for those who are looking to get out of their head and into their bodies while moving at a steady pace of 1-2 breath per pose during the primary flow sequence.

Power Flow Yoga a is a strength and flexibility oriented, VinYin style mat-based practice that incorporates breathwork, meditation, and includes intermediate to advanced level Yoga poses including arm balances, binds, and inversions to challenge your strength, improve your balance, and cultivate your flexibility. Modifications are provided for more challenging postures so that you can progress at a pace that is right for you. This class will elevate your heart rate, challenge your strength, improve your balance, and cultivate your flexibility, which makes it perfect for those who are looking to get out of their head and into their bodies while cultivating inner-strength and resiliency.

Restorative Yoga is a gentle, relaxing practice that incorporates support through various props such as bolsters (pillows), blocks, blankets, and chairs that are incorporated to reduce tension in the body and restore balance to the nervous system. This mindful, slow-paced, meditative style of Yoga is suitable for all levels. While it is traditionally practiced on a mat, it can easily be adapted for chair-based practitioners.

Slow Flow is a blended, mat-based practice that blends both Hatha and Vinyasa components with breathwork, meditation, and fundamental Yoga poses can adapted and modified to suit your needs. This class is also a great place to start if you are brand new to Vinyasa Yoga, recoverying from an injury, or looking for a gentle way to process and release chronic stress and trauma.

Yoga Nidra
is a meditation practice that cultivates deep Yogic rest, enabling the body to be restored at a cellular level while calming the nervous system and mind and renewing the soul. This practice is suitable for all levels and can practiced seated on a mat, laying down, or in a chair.

Yoga for Osteoporsis is a slow-pace, accessibility focused, chair and mat-based practice that incorporates breathwork, meditation, and fundamental Yoga poses that are adapted and modified to be safe for those who have osteopenia or osteoporsis. This class is led by Tami Jungklaus, Nurse Practitioner and RYT 500. This class is a perfect for those who need a bone-safe practice, or anyone who are recoverying from an chronic diagnosis or injury, or looking for a gentle way to process and release chronic stress and trauma.
